Supporting young entrepreneurs in Slovenia

Over the past four years, Danfoss Trata in Slovenia has supported the international organisation Young Entrepreneurs by setting up a local branch of the organisation which has 52 schools in its network. In addition to offering support, the employees at Trata have contributed to the training of 1,800 young people, using presentations about Supply Chain Planning, IT and R&D, and they have had 600 young people visit the company.
The teenagers got the opportunity to establish their own company with clear vision and strategies, take roles, develop, produce and sell products and services to their schoolmates, parents and neighbors and so prepare to the real life of entrepreneurship. Some decided to transform the wood from the old hayracks (Slovene cultural remarkableness) to nice lamps, chests, others delivered home cooking meals.

Corporate Citizenship

Danfoss’ overall goal within Corporate Citizenship is "keeping our own house in order".
This applies to employees, so that they have an attractive workplace and a healthy work-ing environment. It applies to the environment, where Danfoss products contribute to energy savings, and where the environmental impact of their production is constantly being reduced.
And it applies, in a broad sense, to social and ethical responsibility.
Efforts are continually being intensified, because when employee satisfaction is high, consumption of resources is as low as possible, and the company’s ethics and reputation are good, the result is a positive effect on the accounting bottom line.
